Family Planning Services - Announcements
FPS goes to college!

9/1 -- Family Planning Services will now be offering office hours at LCCC's WOMEN'S LINK and Oberlin College. You can come find out about access to reproductive health care for women with out insurance, birth control options, and information on a variety of health topics. Every Thursday from 3-5pm at Women's Link in the College Center, Room 238 and Wednesdays from 11-1 in Wilder 301. For more informaion email info@familyplanningservices.org or call 322-7526 x111.
HIV Testing Available - EXPANDED HOURS!

3/1 -- HIV testing is now available at Family Planning Services’ Elyria location. Testing is free and anonymous and no blood drawing is necessary. Most Wednesdays from 9am-12pm, and every other Thursday from 3.30-5.30. Give us a call any time of day to listen for the next available walk-in hours for testing. 322-7526 No appointment needed.
Volunteers Wanted

1/1 -- Family Planning Services is now looking for volunteers for our Elyria Clinic location who can give at least 2 hours of their time each week. These are wonderful opportunities to expand your knowledge on women's health or non-profit operations. Other volunteer possibilities in education and outreach as well. Saturday Clinic Hours

8/1 -- For your convience, Family Planning Services is now open on Saturdays from 9am to 4pm at our Elyria clinic location. We also have weekend and evening hours at our Oberlin Clinic location. For more information or to make an appointment please call 322-PLAN
Emergency Contraception

7/1 -- We have switched to a differnt form of Emergency Contraceptive Pills called Plan B. Plan B® prevents pregnancy in the same way birth control pills prevent pregnancy because Plan B® is a special dose of birth control pills. To learn more about Plan B, visit Plan B's Web Site. For more general information about Emergency Contraception, visit The Emergency Contraception Web Site. Emergency Contraception is available to women who have had unprotected sex in the last 72 hours. It is about 75 to 90% effective in preventing pregnancy. Emergency contraception will not terminate or harm an existing pregnancy. Pregnancy terminations are not available in Lorain County. However, we are able to provide education and a resource list on this topic upon request.
